ANIMATE PAPER, PLASTICINE, PEOPLE…& MORE!
Emma Dougherty is an experienced teacher who set up StopMoGo in 2010 and has been creating, running and refining stop motion animation workshops ever since.
Many of the workshop themes she chooses are ones she loved teaching, such as Ancient Egypt, Space, and Myths and Legends. She creates all of the activities, puppets and props, as well as designing her unique tabletop studios. Her art studio is full to the brim with all of the things she has made for StopMoGo workshops, and she is now hard at work turning them into online courses for the world to enjoy.
Entirely self-taught, Emma actually started out with a degree in archaeology, then History, trained as a secondary French teacher, before becoming a primary school teacher for six years.
This is what makes StopMoGo special, as she has blended all of that knowledge and experience with her abiding love of stop motion animation and creative flair.
