A drop-in stop motion public event I created for the Story Museum Oxford’s ‘Alice’s Day’.
Watch the film below!
The event took place at Oxford’s History of Science Museum – an added thrill to be in the same room as Charles L. Dodgson’s (Lewis Carroll) photographic equipment.
I was inspired by my love of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland from 1951 in the props, costumes and activities I created.
I also really wanted to try to recreate the moment in the Disney film when the March Hare pours a saucer and teacup from a teapot, then tea, milk and two sugar cubes.
I had fun testing different ways tea could pour from my little papier maché teapot.
